SAFE HOUSE

Offers A Safe Place - Now in Maricopa!

Jelani Eliott has a great passion for the youth in Maricopa, AZ. That passion has inspired him to not only talk about creating a Safe Place for youth, but to also partner with a local community staple Maricopa Water and Ice to create a "Safe House "for local teens.

Jelani, founder of (For The Kulture Entertainment), https://www.4thekultureent.com/, which specializes in Private Parties, Business Events, Birthdays, Weddings, and so much more knows what it's like to not always feel safe.

He'll be the first to tell you that as a youth he had some difficult days. These difficulties are what cause him to be compassionate to the need of unheard teens issues. With suicide at an all-time high (particularly with youth), there needs to be a place where they can be heard. Mr. Eliott has created that place.

Saturday, October 1, 2022, was the start of a new community program, A Safe House. Once a month, teens and their parents are invited to come and listen to live music, play games, express concerns without judgement and just BE. Maricopa Water and Ice has volunteered to use their facility as the meeting place. The owner Tonya Thompson, and her daughter Emilee Thompson's (The Safe House Youth Ambassador) Business is located at 20928 N John Wayne Pkwy, Maricopa, AZ 85139. You can call the store or email here: (520) 568-4740, Copawaterandice@gmail.com. for more details.

Additionally, Brianna Reinhold of Northern Lights Therapy, PLLC, Northern Lights Therapy (northernlightstherapyaz.com) was on hand with contact material should any of the teens need help. Brianna is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified First Responder Counselor and Board Approved Clinical Director. She can be reached at (623) 243-2774, info@northernlightstherapyaz.com.
