Arizona Tribal Leaders Attend AZ Gubernatorial Candidate Forum & Focus on Policy Issues

The Arizona Indian Gaming Association (AIGA) joined leaders from the Ak-Chin Indian Community, San Carlos Apache Tribe, and White Mountain Apache Tribe to hear the gubernatorial candidates discuss their policy priorities ahead of the November general election.

The Arizona Gubernatorial Candidate Forum, hosted by the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry on September 7, featured Arizona’s two candidates for governor, Democratic candidate Katie Hobbs and Republican candidate Kari Lake.

Arizona has more Tribal Land than any other state, comprising about 27 percent of the state’s land base. AIGA provides a unified voice for Member Tribes and serves as an educational, legislative and policy resource for Tribes, policymakers and the public.
