February 15, 2023, The Black Maricopa Chamber of Commerce (BMCC), received a Proclamation. The Black Maricopa Chamber of Commerce was officially founded as a non-profit organization on May 16, 2022, by Kent and Chrystal O’Jon. Board Members include Jelani and Stacy Elliott, Vonzell Cash, and Dr. Frederick Johnson.


The goal of the Black Maricopa Chamber of Commerce is to be liaisons in the community and to build a bridge that creates an understanding of the needs of African American business owners in the city of Maricopa in Pinal County.


BMCC also wishes to promote financial literacy as a pathway to generational wealth, thereby strengthening the family. The Maricopa community is invited to engage with its members, to join and offer advice that fosters economic stability and growth.
